A look at what’s ahead for 2015!

2015 will be a pretty eventful year. The thing I’m most excited about is finishing my master’s…imagine a life without having to write endless amounts of essays! Haha. CAN. NOT. WAIT. Additionally, I’m excited to finally be done with living the student life (luckily beer is cheap in Germany and 10 euros will get you more than instant noodle dinners…clearly I’ve chosen the right country) and finally start a full-time job/advance my career!

Anyway, aside from my excitement in graduating, here’s some things I’m also looking forward to in 2015!

January – Italy! Rather than travelling somewhere for NYE like we did last year (only to find ourselves in a horribly overpriced club in Vienna dancing to an endless amount of electro music), we decided to spend NYE with friends at a house party in Germany (it turned out to be a great idea). Instead, we decided to plan our winter break travels a week after the New Year and scored a amazing deal on flights to Italy! So on Jan 7th, we’re headed to Verona, Venice and Rome! I visited Italy last year and I’ve been dying to go back and explore more of the country. Can’t wait!

February – Moving to Munich! (again). This time, the boyfriend got a really nice apartment in Munich and he’ll be starting his full-time job in January. Since I’m finished with classes at the end of January, I’ll be joining him in February. I’ll also be able to “abmelden” from Regensburg and “anmelden” in Munich and become a real Munich resident!

April – Paris for my birthday! The last time I was in Paris was a couple years back so it’s time for a revisit. What better way to celebrate a birthday then in Paris? 🙂

May – Portugal or Greece. While this is still a possibility rather than a plan, I love travelling to beachy destinations in Europe in the late spring, where the weather is warm enough to swim and enjoy the sun, but still early enough to beat the flock of tourists that always come during the summer (shhh but that will be our secret). After going to Croatia last year, Portugal and Greece are at the top of my list this year!

June – before I graduate I’ll have to complete an internship, which will probably be in June (or earlier). I’d love to find a placement at an international organization. I have no idea where it’ll be, but I’m guessing if it’s not in Germany, it’ll be either in Belgium or the Netherlands where most of them are located. If that’s the case, it’ll be fun living in another European country for a bit!

October or November – While I’m not exactly sure when I’ll be home in Canada, I know I’d like to be home for Christmas this year since I haven’t for the past 3 years. Depending on whether where my future job begins/takes me, I’ll probably be back in Canada sometime in October or November and stay for until the end of the year. I’d love to squeeze in a New York City trip too somewhere in there!
