A Midnight Bazar in Munich

One of my friends invited me to a Midnight Bazar with her on Saturday night. I’ve never been to one, but as it happens to involve loads of vintage clothing, jewellery and oddities, mixed in with live music and a bar, of course I was down to go!

The Midnight Bazar, or Nachtflohmarkt in German, is like a hip flea market which happens spontanously on different given Saturdays, in different venues across Munich. They start at 5pm and ends at midnight, and costs 3 euros to get in. There’s tons of tables and racks full of everything ranging from 1 euro scarfs, vintage purses and dresses, to random items like typewriters, marks (old German currency) and cassette tapes.

There was also food, beer and wine. The venue itself had a pretty funky vibe, right down to the disco ball… I loved it!

You could definitely spend hours getting lost within all the cool finds.

The only thing I didn’t like was that there weren’t any change rooms to try on any of the clothes. With the unexpected warm weather in Germany, I’ve been out looking for some nice pieces to add to my summer wardrobe (especially now that there’s plans for a trip to Italy in the works!)

Unfortunately, I didn’t end up buying anything for myself (this time at least!) but I did bring home a cute, devious looking furry squirrel for the bf…

Have you guys ever been to a Midnight bazar? Or something similar in your area?
